For those currently using Cochrane Risk of bias tool for assessing individual studies – listen up!. There is a new version.
The 2.0 version is similar to the one you are familiar with, however there are some changes that you might want to have a look at.
Some changes in the 2.0 version:
- It now includes signalling questions that resembles that of the ROBINS-I tool
- The domain on selective outcome reporting: the focus for this domain is now on how outcomes are reported (missing outcomes will instead be included in reporting bias)
- In the new version, authors will have to consider if they are interested in the effect of starting and adhering to an intervention.
